Rick Murphy

Purchased Nagrom in June 1978. Developed the business specialising in beneficiation processes and toll treatment of concentrates. Switched the core business to metallurgical testwork/analysis/fabrication in 2007. 

Incorporated Nagrom technologies to develop our protective coating business LINE-X Australia in 2015. Rick has been involved in the mining industry through assaying and processing since 1968.


Dr Shane Wilson

Dr Shane Wilson joined Nagrom, as Senior Chemist, in January 2009. Shane studied in New Zealand at Massey University and completed a BSc Hons. First Class (Chemistry) in 1986 and undertook further studies culminating with a PhD (Analytical Chemistry) in 1991. In the period 1992 to 1998 Shane was involved in research and teaching positions at universities in Canada and Murdoch in WA where he completed a Graduate Diploma of Science (Extractive Metallurgy). Since then Shane’s commercial laboratory experience has encompassed positions with BHP in Newman & Port Hedland and Barrick Gold in Kalgoorlie.

Shane will be instrumental in the task of adding a quality analytical service to the Nagrom experience.


Adam Pound

ICP Chemist QA/QC, BSc (Chemistry)

Laboratory Manager

8 years experience in Analytical Laboratories gained at Ultra Trace Geoanalytical with 3 years as a Chemist for Nagrom.

Adam started with Nagrom in 2009 developing laboratory procedures and ICP methods, as well as assisting the Senior Chemist with the management and operations of the XRF/Digest labs. Adam plays a major role in the continual improvement of the laboratory function and capabilities.


Patrick Wilkinson

Development Chemist, BSc (Biochemistry and Zoology), 3 years’ experience in Analytical Laboratories, 2 Years’ experience as a Development Chemist for Nagrom.

Pat started with Nagrom two years ago developing methods for new instrumentation that Nagrom has been acquiring to improve and develop the laboratory. Pat will be critical for the further development of Nagrom’s laboratory.
